The 1920's were filled with many new inventions that have changed the way people in the 20's live their lives. Some of these inventions are the Radio, which gave people a way to receive information and as well  as entertainment. The car was also invented in the 20's and this invention gave freedom and created jobs to the average citizen. Insulin, a life saving invention was also invented in the 20's.

The radio was invented in 1920 and had become a major form of communication. During WW1 it had been the only source for information because television hadn't been publicly released until the 1930's and neither had Internet. People would gather to listen to their radios also families would listen to their radio to hear the daily news. The radio also provided entertainment to people by having guest on their shows, and people would also call in to say their opinions. This invention still provides people with information and entertainment to this day, especially in cars. The automobile was invented in the 1920's and at first was very expensive, but over the 20's they became more affordable to a regular class citizen. This allowed people to go where ever they wanted whenever and gave whoever owned a car more independent. The automobile also had a good effect on the 20's because after WW1 many people were out of jobs but the automobile created jobs manufacturing the cars and building roads for them to drive on, Thus boosting the economy. Insulin was discovered by a Canadian man and received a Nobel peace prize on his discovery. Diabetes was a very feared disease in the 20's because if you had it, it meant that you would die. People with diabetes would be put on very harsh diets that would starve them to get an extra few years but ultimately there would be no option and you would die either from diabetes or the harsh diets you were put on. When insulin had been proven to work it was like a miracle because all of the people who were very sick got better very fast and gave them their life back. The 1920's have given us many new inventions and had a major impact on this time.
